Hi, I’m Lythy, and I have a passion for card making.

I see them as mini pieces of art. Over many years I have collected different types of ephemera that I now use when I create my cards. Silks from Hong Kong and Singapore. Lace and linens from antique fairs and estate sales that I’ve visited in several countries. Jewelry and beads from various decades.

I have quite the assortment of old ledgers and letters, some of them two hundred years old! Pages from old books that people have discarded get repurposed in my pieces. I enjoy painting my own papers and eco dyeing fabric and paper using avocado, beets, blueberries, tea and coffee, to name a few. Modern items are used and I merge them with the myriad of ephemera in my collection. In the last few years I have enjoyed learning to embroider and I love to ‘slow stitch’ and add small pieces to my cards. Or quilt bigger scraps and make them the focal point.

If you purchase one for yourself, you could frame your one of a kind card as art for a long time.
